Production
The Group of enterprises CHEKSIL in its size and production areas is one of the biggest wool processing structures not only in Ukraine but also in the world. It is composed of units that carry out different activities: production of woolen goods, marketing and sales, repair and construction works, transportation.
The total area, occupied by the company, is 383 thousand square meters, including the production area that is 216 thousand square meters. Here are located such buildings as: the main production and administrative buildings, a number of auxiliary buildings and facilities for production purposes. The territory is fenced and paved, full of underground and ground engineering services. The height of administrative and industrial buildings is from 1 to 9 floors. The territory has no sites of cultural & historical and architectural significance.
The Group CHEKSIL has on its balance about 3,5 thousand different machines, transmitting devices, fixtures, production lines and machines.
The company introduced a unique structure of production, which has no analogues in any company in the world. The uniqueness lies in existence of a universal production, characterized by the presence of all technological transitions necessary for the production of worsted and carded assortment of fabrics.
The manufacturing process begins with the combing of wool and other fibers and ends with the receipt of finished fabrics. It ensures the release of all necessary intermediate products: tops, roving, yarn, gray goods.
Machinery and equipment are arranged in accordance with the classical technology of wool processing. During the manufacturing of fabrics at worsted chain the work is done on 14 technological transitions. First raw materials go to combing in order to get sliver. Then it is dyed and, if it is necessary, is combined with chemical fibers. After re-combing and getting a double-combed tops the roving is made, and then the yarn of different linear densities and twists. The yarn comes to the weaving department and after an appropriate preparatory process goes to the looms. The process of weaving consists of the interweaving of two systems of threads (warp and weft). The gray fabric, taken out from the loom, goes to the finishing department, where, as a result of further chemical, thermal, and mechanical processing, it acquires some certain properties and appearance, turning into finished product.
The described technology for producing wool worsted fabrics is constantly improving and changing as a result of equipment modernization, replacement and introduction of new technological regimes, the use of new types of textile raw and auxiliary materials.
